New Zealand mosque attacks

An Open Letter to Brendan Eich

I’m trying to understand the reasoning behind your decision to allow Joshua Conner Moon’s site MadAtTheInternet on your service, when you so graciously banned his Kiwi Farms account, after it was made plain to you that you were complicit in unlawful and violent undertakings on a site designed to bully and stalk vulnerable people.

You were made aware of the connection Joshua Conner Moon has with several terrorist attacks, in particular the NZ terrorist shooting of a mosque, an attack that was filmed by the perpetrator and subsequently hosted on Kiwi Farms, despite laws which prohibit the promotion/proliferation of terrorist materials. You were also made aware of the suicide count attributed to the bullying meted out by Joshua Conner Moon and his foot soldiers, a thing they’re proud of, convincing fragile people to end their lives, like they’re playing some sort of computer game only real people die.

Apparently a nazi’s right to free speech trumps the lives of minorities, am I correct in this assessment? Do you remember when you had me banned on Twitter for exercising my free speech? The offending tweet suggested piling trophy hunters into a cage so we could feed the animals, completely hyperbolic but enough to get me booted off. It was months old, you had to trawl through my timeline to find it because the tweets I had directed towards you wouldn’t cut it all for a suspension, so you employed a known nazi tactic where anything can be twisted to present as a threat.

It’s odd how free speech is a white privilege huh? I mean, if I wanted to use your service yet spent my days threatening violence against white people and celebrating every time one of them died, I think you’d be on top of it like a rash. I think you’d gladly hand my information over to the authorities to tackle any threat to white supremacy.

You don’t consider the victims of Kiwi Farms to be real people, with lives, and feelings, and needs for if you did you would respect our right to life and condemn those who would threaten it. I think you get some enjoyment from seeing people victimised by a white supremacist. I think you’re entirely sympathetic to his cause. You’ve been saying the right words and playing the game but occasionally you say something that sheds light on your inner workings and how this is all just a game to you.

Eich likes to maintain power at all times “play nicely or gtfo” regardless of the context.

More of a reflection on how you feel about yourself, bud.

If only it was so easy to silence us.

Eich knows what he is doing.

As I’m sure you are aware Cloudflare were forced to ban 8chan from their service recently, Matthew Prince did an about turn less than 24 hours after he said he would continue to support them despite the El Paso shooter’s connections to the forum. He continues to host Kiwi Farms because we haven’t pursued it just yet but we will. Like you he thinks doing the bare minimum to keep the investors/shareholders happy will save him but we’ll ask both of you how that’s going for you when we’re done.

To reiterate, withdraw your service from Joshua Conner Moon, whatever site he might be using. He has been excluded from many streams of revenue and relies almost solely on the funds he gets from the link you have provided. According to joint enterprise laws in the UK you can be held accountable for all the crimes committed by Moon because you could have done something to prevent it and you did not. All we need is one person who will listen, one law enforcement officer who isn’t a white supremacist and the rest will fall like dominoes.

We have the names of all your members of staff. We have the time and numbers to research each one and collate dossiers on their friends and family members. You said about me once that you didn’t understand how we were justified in doing to them what they have done to us, as though retaliation is the issue when we have never assumed to take the moral high ground, not when we are so violently compromised. I guess white supremacists of the past 500 years haven’t had much of a resistance to their bullshit and genuinely believe they are a class above the rest of, exempt from the laws that govern us all.

I was advised to publish the names of your staff with this post, because others are not so patient but I thought to remind you of what you’re dealing with first, lest you had forgotten.

We’re not here for the bantz remember, we’re fighting for our very lives.

New Zealand’s National Treasure

In the days since the white supremacist terrorist attack on a mosque in Christchurch New Zealand we’ve seen things that have shocked us, angered us, left us feeling helpless. As the British government doubles the security fund for religious buildings to make mosques safer here, repercussions are felt all over the world as we feel them here. However there is one shining light pouring through the cracks, soothing the almost physical pain at times, and that is New Zealand’s human prime minister. Never mind that they’ve just had a terror attack in which so many perished, I want to live there.

From the way she has handled the victims and their families to the reforms she is firing through and the respect and dignity with which she carries herself, knowing exactly the right thing to say and do, well I’d hang up my anarchist hat for her. She refuses to refer to the terrorist by his name, because he wanted notoriety and I love her so hard for that. She labelled it a terrorist attack, actions that place her head and shoulders above our government and media. She is a just leader. She understands coercive power and control and toxic masculinity, she won’t compromise on her values. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern doesn’t believe putting a scarf on her head, as a feminist, is contradicting her beliefs because she’s not doing it for herself, but for them, those who’ve so cruelly suffered in her nation. I’m sure this tiny gesture would have been so lovingly received, in this world the bar is so low that even basic respect is a radical act.

I know that my heart flutters when I see her in the news. I feel an affinity with her because she knows right and wrong and how to feel and think appropriately. She’s like Jeremy Corbyn in that respect. I’m sure they would listen to ideas they don’t necessarily believe and could be swayed with logic. I think they’re open to regular people in a way that world leaders the world over just aren’t. The 1% have a lot to answer for.

New Zealand is a place I’ve wanted to visit. Never met a Kiwi I didn’t like. They tell me that it isn’t so great, there are problems lurking under the veneer but then isn’t everywhere like that? Surely what matters is the resistance to these issues? I don’t care that there will always be racists so long as there are plenty of us willing to punch the fuck out of them.

Plus these guys, they’d be good to have on side, don’t you think?

Love to the people of New Zealand for respecting and honouring humanity.

Condemn the Racist Guardian and FB Friends

20190317_191532

In the wake of the New Zealand mosque attack a narrative is emerging that perhaps seeks to minimise the causes for these acts of terror. Facebook has taken down 1.5 million copies of the video clip filmed by the white supremacist terrorist as he slaughtered his victims. The Guardian suggests it is “highlighting the enormous challenge involved in keeping violent and offensive material off social networks”. Funny, I was banned for calling someone a rat on Twitter, I’d had previous suspensions for telling someone to eat his own weiner in retaliation to racist and sexist threats and with regards to fb in particular, I closed my account when I’d had enough of the racist threats to rape me, which fb said did not violate its apparently nonexistent standards.

This didn’t happen in a vacuum, white supremacists didn’t one day decide to say and do all the things they’ve been legalled banned from doing so since 1965 with the Race Relations Act (the act banned racial discrimination in public places and made the promotion of hatred on the grounds of ‘colour, race, or ethnic or national origins’ an offence); this was a long process of normalisation, of proliferation via social media. It was a miscarriage of justice enabled by the institutionally racist police force and crown prosecution service. Freedom of speech doesn’t extend to protected groups, suspensions disproportionately affected minorities. These attitudes were confirmed in national newspapers with even ‘left wing’ columnists claiming silencing and oppression for having bigoted views.

They enabled violent hate speech by claiming it was not islamophobic or transphobic to spout their privileged propaganda. Where is the inquiry into the causes for this breakdown in humanity? Perhaps the very same white supremacists who created this crisis are still in control of the reins and are steering it towards their original objective, white supremacy, self assured in their limitless power?

silencing

Every time we see a white supremacist terrorist in the news they fit the type; worthless useless antonym of supreme kills people for kicks and white people everywhere claim a victory for white dominance. This clash of civilisations was a misnomer, there is no clash of equal strengths, they’re not crashing together like cymbals, it is a death match heavily weighted towards an historical oppressor. It should have been called the White Supremacist Superbug, its resistance to progression and social justice hypothesised as the catalyst for genocide the globe over.

These have-a-go-at-homicide nobodies would stop if one of their leaders went down for their part in the normalisation phase. Indict Mark Zuckerberg for crimes against humanity. Milo Yanofuckface should face charges not just a suspension from travel to Australia, for his comments following the massacre. Tumblr, for eg, has just taken down all its porn posts, essentially losing 1/5 of its user base yet Twitter and FB are hesitant to do the same with Nazis. It is for this reason alone silicon valley bosses have been slow to react to hatred and bigotry; white supremacy is big bucks, whether off the back of a terrorist slaughter or a good old fashioned war, these greedy pigs chose to line their own pockets over tolerance and humanity. Personally I don’t have a problem with porn but Nazis can die in a fire. I’d hazard a guess porn is a bigger money spinner than racist hate but no one wants to have sex with Nazis.

We antifascists have been begging and pleading with those in power to give this issue the attention it deserves since at least 2012 and look at where we are now. We are still being silenced, still being oppressed and the architects of this injustice (and I include the Guardian in this for their platforming of bigots such as Suzanne Moore, Grace Dent and Julie Bindel to name a few) are revising the facts so that fb deserves sympathy as opposed to our wrath. The problem is the journalists, the tech geeks, the politicians, they all went to the same schools and hit up the same coke dealer for that good Columbian shit and this status matters more to them then scores of dead Muslims. They have more in common with each other than the rest of humanity. We should be joining the dots between the main offenders and figuring out who went to school with who, and who is in possession of whose dirty secret, so that we might get a handle on this shit show once and for all.
