I have been forced to leave Cairo prematurely following a horrific sexual and physical attack in Tahrir Square.
The atmosphere was one of jubilation, excitement, and happiness as I walked, accompanied by two male companions for safety along Kasr El Nil bridge. I had had an awful day, caused by problems in personal relationships, so I was so happy to be in such a wonderful environment, getting such amazing footage.
FUCK YOU PATRIARCHY. AND DIE PLEASE.

Oh, my! Thank you for sharing the link.
Some of the comments there are so infuriating that I can’t keep reading it. That poor woman has suffered enough without suffering the trolls of the internet. The particular jackass who replied to my comment doesn’t deserve a retort.
You are correct. Don’t reply to the trolls. And don’t allow them to make you angry. It’s your anger they want because then you are distracted from the mission of spreading awareness.
Sometimes it just gets too much to bear, patriarchy, and I have to rage a bit. Primal screaming scares the neighbours.
I am so angry. And hurt. I hate this world right now.
